Mechanical and Automation Controls Design
Our controls design team provide machine electrical, pneumatic and software control design to meet customer’s requirements.
The team work closely with our suppliers to incorporate the most reliable and cost-effective control solution for the machines depending on customer specification and requirements.
Electrical and pneumatic design documentation is produced using AutoCAD® and Eplan®.
Control interfaces are designed to customer’s needs, predominantly using the following programmable controllers and interfaces:

Controls
The Sims mechanical team use the latest Autodesk® Inventor® software.
The team produce 3D concepts to customer specifications to visualise the end product for design approvals. Once approved, detailed mechanical drawings are constructed quickly and efficiently for manufacture.
The mechanical team also produce risk assessments and considers ergonomic factors that will affect the design and end use of the machine.
